HEY, I'M KIM SAUER!
I started my dog training experience back in 1998, now with over 25+ years in the industry and started my own company in 2002. Throughout my years as a trainer, I have had the privilige of being a consultant for the SPCA Serving Erie County, becoming certified as a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Fear Free Certified, licensed as a Family Paws Educator, a Certified Master Pet Tech Instructor, trainer with The Family Dog, AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and much more. I have had wonderful teachers and mentors that I have been honored to learn from as well as having been "dog mom" to the most amazing canine (and feline) teachers as well.Â
As someone who grew up without a dog in the home, I discovered my passion for dogs as a teenager. I learned a lot while working at a training facility, but most importantly, the seeds of love for dogs and training were sewn.
Later, I was exposed to a different kind of training method, one that made use of punitive measures and harsh training collars. I knew that was the wrong method for me.
Today, I use my knowledge of positive training methods and dog psychology to create positive family dynamics, lessen stress, and explore new possibilities.
It’s done with patience, positivity, consistency, and support to create effective communication and harmonious relationships.
